Book Description
The Cardigan Welsh Corgi, commonly known as simply the 'Cardigan' or 'Cardi, ' is one of the oldest herding breeds that originated from Whales, in the United Kingdom. The breed is believed to be well over 3,000 years old! The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is believed to be descended from the Teckel family of dogs, which also produced the Dachshund breed. The breed is one of two separate breeds that are known as 'Welsh Corgis, ' the other breed is the 'Pembroke Welsh Corgi.' Originally the Cardigan Welsh Corgi was used as a farm guardian but eventually developed the traits of a cattle drovers and herders. In modern times the Cardigan Welsh Corgi is mainly kept as a domesticated companion dog but is also still employed on farms primarily in herding based activities. As previously mentioned the Cardigan Welsh Corgi shares a similar origin to the Dachshund - the Cardigan Welsh Corgi is similarly a long and low bodies breed of dog with a long thin tail. The Cardigan Welsh Corgi is often double coated and can come in the following standardized colorations: red, sable, black, tan, brindle and blue merle. The breed will normally have characteristic white feet and a white chest. The Cardigan Welsh Corgi has proven to be an excellent household pet due to its loving nature, intelligence, affectionate nature and relatively sturdiness for a small breed of dog. Before purchasing any pet it is important to understand that as a pet owner you are responsible for the care and wellbeing of your pet. It is important to try and learn as much as you can about the animal you are considering to keep as a pet to make sure that your lifestyle, household and financial status are suited to provide your pet with the best possible care. This guide has been designed to provide you with both precise and concise information about a Cardigan Welsh Corgi's basic needs to help you provide your pet with the best quality care practices. This guide will give an in-depth explanation on training your Cardigan Welsh Corgi, raising your Cardigan Welsh Corgi from a puppy, grooming, health care and everything in between! "The Cardigan Welsh Corgi: A Complete and Comprehensive Owners Guide to: Buying, Owning, Health, Grooming, Training, Obedience, Understanding and Caring for Your Cardigan Welsh Corgi," by Michael Stonewood is the perfect purchase or gift for a first time Cardigan Welsh Corgi owner. This guide includes sections on caring for a puppy, breeding, health care, training, the basic cost of owning a Cardigan Welsh Corgi and much more.
