This book also discusses the two groups that make up the electrical methods of measuring dimensions, which are composed of 1) capacitive, inductive and resistance pick-ups and 2) photoelectric and bolometric pick-ups. The author adds that in designing experimental research of a machine, determining the measurement of its principal parameters, such as displacements, linear velocities, acceleration, torque, and vibrations, is very important.
