Cosmic Cradle, Revised Edition

Cosmic Cradle, Revised Edition PDF Author: Elizabeth M. Carman
Publisher: North Atlantic Books
ISBN: 1583945709
Category : Body, Mind & Spirit
Languages : en
Pages : 393

Book Description
This fascinating exploration of pre-birth consciousness—with over 200 real-life case studies—reveals we do make decisions about the families and circumstances into which we’re born. An affirming and inspirational read for parents and grandparents, regression therapists and spiritual counselors, and anyone interested in near-death experiences. Where was your soul before you were born? If your soul is immortal, did it have a “life” prior to birth? Did you choose your life and parents? Is reincarnation real? Elizabeth and Neil Carman, the authors of Cosmic Cradle, address these questions through interviews with adults and children who report pre-birth experiences (PBEs) not based on regression, hypnosis, or drugs. Instead, interviewees recall their pre-birth existence completely sober and awake. In contrast to near-death experiences (NDEs), which have been well documented to show us what the soul experiences after death, PBEs throw light upon our lives before birth. People with NDEs sense that they “return home” when their spirits cross to the other side. What is the nature of this place we “return” to? PBEs suggest that we come from the same place we return to: we come from the Light and return to the Light. The same eternal "you" progresses through life before life, human life, and life after death. This new edition of Cosmic Cradle explores your soul’s journey into your mother’s womb—where your soul comes from, the origin and purpose of your life, and the process by which you entered an earthly body. In pre-birth communications, parents meet a soul seeking to cross over from the heavenly realm to human birth. Persons with pre-birth memories recall existence in a luminous world before birth, in which they preview the upcoming life with a Divine Planner, and recall how they journeyed to their mothers’ wombs.

The Memory Catcher

The Memory Catcher PDF Author: Sarah Hinze

ISBN: 9781932898989
Category : Mormons
Languages : en
Pages : 0

Book Description
Over the past three decades, Sarah Hinze's groundbreaking research on "prebirth experiences" has provided solid evidence that unborn children can warn, protect and enlighten us from another plane of existence. She has compiled hundreds of accounts that tell of heavenly encounters between parents and their soon-to-be-born children. How did a woman raised in the backwoods of Tennessee become a pioneer in this important work? As a young girl, Sarah learned to sense when angels were near. She eventually fell in love with Brent, who shared her belief in heaven. A year after their wedding, she held their first baby and realized that many of the angels she had felt nearby had been her own unborn children. Following a series of personal challenges, including losing a baby to miscarriage, Sarah began to recognize that God wanted her to write about unborn children these tiny guardian angels who watch over us before they are born. Was it possible that other mothers had gone through similar experiences? Sarah decided to distribute a flyer on the topic in her town. Within a few days, a mother contacted her and said, "I saw my unborn daughter and I want to tell you about it." Soon, Sarah was collecting memories from around the world and publishing several books about them, but rarely had she disclosed her own story. Now for the first time, Sarah shares the key experiences that shaped her life and set her on course to become The Memory Catcher one of the worlds' greatest advocates of the unborn.

Dictionary of Southern Appalachian English

Dictionary of Southern Appalachian English PDF Author: Michael B. Montgomery
Publisher: UNC Press Books
ISBN: 1469662558
Category : Reference
Languages : en
Pages : 3218

Book Description
The Dictionary of Southern Appalachian English is a revised and expanded edition of the Weatherford Award–winning Dictionary of Smoky Mountain English, published in 2005 and known in Appalachian studies circles as the most comprehensive reference work dedicated to Appalachian vernacular and linguistic practice. Editors Michael B. Montgomery and Jennifer K. N. Heinmiller document the variety of English used in parts of eight states, ranging from West Virginia to Georgia—an expansion of the first edition's geography, which was limited primarily to North Carolina and Tennessee—and include over 10,000 entries drawn from over 2,200 sources. The entries include approximately 35,000 citations to provide the reader with historical context, meaning, and usage. Around 1,600 of those examples are from letters written by Civil War soldiers and their family members, and another 4,000 are taken from regional oral history recordings. Decades in the making, the Dictionary of Southern Appalachian English surpasses the original by thousands of entries. There is no work of this magnitude available that so completely illustrates the rich language of the Smoky Mountains and Southern Appalachia.

When Boys Become Boys

When Boys Become Boys PDF Author: Chu, Judy Y.
Publisher: NYU Press
ISBN: 0814764614
Category : Psychology
Languages : en
Pages : 244

Book Description
Based on a two-year study that followed boys from pre-kindergarten through first grade, When Boys Become Boys offers a new way of thinking about boys’ development. Through focusing on a critical moment of transition in boys’ lives, Judy Y. Chu reveals boys’ early ability to be emotionally perceptive, articulate, and responsive in their relationships, and how these “feminine” qualities become less apparent as boys learn to prove that they are boys primarily by showing that they are not girls. Chu finds that behaviors typically viewed as “natural” for boys reflect an adaptation to cultures that require boys to be stoic, competitive, and aggressive if they are to be accepted as “real boys.” Yet even as boys begin to reap the social benefits of aligning with norms of masculine behavior, they pay a psychological and relational price for renouncing parts of their humanity. Chu documents boys’ perceptions of the obstacles they face and the pressures they feel to conform, showing that compliance with rules of masculinity is neither automatic nor inevitable. This accessible and engaging book provides insight into ways in which adults can foster boys’ healthy resistance and help them to access a broader range of options as they seek to connect with others while remaining true to themselves.

The Laughing Baby

The Laughing Baby PDF Author: Caspar Addyman
Publisher: Unbound Publishing
ISBN: 1783527986
Category : Psychology
Languages : en
Pages : 318

Book Description
Few things in life are more delightful than sharing in the laughter of a baby. Until now, however, psychologists and parenting experts have largely focused on moments of stress and confusion. Developmental psychologist Caspar Addyman decided to change that. Since 2012 Caspar has run the Baby Laughter project, collecting data, videos and stories from parents all over the world. This has provided a fascinating window into what babies are learning and how they develop cognitively and emotionally. Deeper than that, he has observed laughter as the purest form of human connection. It creates a bond that parents and infants share as they navigate the challenges of childhood. Moving chronologically through the first two years of life, The Laughing Baby explores the origin story for our incredible abilities. In the playful daily lives of babies, we find the beginnings of art, science, music and happiness. Our infancy is central to what makes us human, and understanding why babies laugh is key to understanding ourselves.
